Finished size of cover quilt: 77" x 93", a full size. It was originally designed as a mystery quilt for a retreat that had an "on safari" theme. The circles in the setting remind me of the traditional Burgoyne Surrounded Block. Lastly, I was proof-reading the pattern during commercials while watching the Super Bowl. I thought the commercials showing a man working in an office with a bunch of chimpanzees were hilarious. All these things came together to give this quilt its odd name. This unique setting gives the illusion of circles, but uses simple strip piecing techniques
